The 14th Annual Care Conference for Wales took place 4th October 2018 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cardiff. The half day conference organised by Caring Times, Barclays, Christie & Co and Hallmark Homes saw 60 delegates meet for an afternoon of engaging speakers and networking.
Chair of Hallmark Homes, Avnish Goyal welcomed attendees and introduced the conference. Delegates were then pleased to hear a moving and charismatic Keynote Presentation from Minister for Children, Older People and Social Care Huw Irranca-Davies.
Margaret Rooney from Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales gave a thorough presentation followed by a Q&A, and after a short refreshment break, our expert panel, joined by Editor-in-Chief of Caring Times magazine, Dr Richard Hawkins took the floor for a lively discussion. Many thanks to Matt Eaton, Head of Recruitment at Hallmark Care, David McHattie, Head of Healthcare at Barclays Bank, and Rob Kinsman, Regional Director of Christie & Co.
