Creative Arts and Dementia: Developing Best Practice

    24th September 2019 - mac, Birmingham

The Journal of Dementia Care are delighted to collaborate with the Creative Dementia Arts Network (CDAN) and the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) to launch the new Creative Arts and Dementia: Developing Best Practice conference on the 24th September 2019 at the mac in Birmingham.

Creative Arts and Dementia: Developing Best Practice is designed to highlight and showcase the very best practice across arts, health and social care sectors and to explore how we can embed this in care homes and in the community.

We encourage all innovative leaders including those in arts organisations and venues, care homes, the NHS and CQC, who want to connect and share their experiences and to address the issues of sustaining best practice in care settings as well as promoting social prescription in communities. The conference will be structured around two main plenary sessions and two sets of four concurrent parallel sessions, encompassing presentation, panel discussions, workshops in music, dance, drama, creative writing, digital arts and much more, besides providing ample opportunities for networking.
