    Entries are now open

     How do I enter?

The National Care Awards are completely free to enter!  To enter online visit and follow the link submissions form.  Please ensure you submit answers to all the question criteria and all of the supporting evidence required.  Any entries which do not submit all of the required information will be disregarded.

How many categories can I enter?

You are able to enter as many categories as you wish

How are finalists chosen for each category?

There will be up to 5 finalists per category chosen by a panel of independent judges who will have sufficient knowledge in the field to select finalists from each category

How many finalists can there be for each award category?

There will be up to 5 finalists chosen per award category

What if it is a surprise nomination?

Firstly, we will keep the secret!  When entering, please specify that we should only contact the nominator if the submission is successful, but please also ensure the nominee will be able to attend the awards gala night on 19th November in London.  If you nominate within the chef category, please ensure the chef can attend the cook-off at Milton Keynes cookery school on 30 September 2021  as well as the gala night on 19th November

    What are the costs?

It is completely free to enter the awards!  All finalists will receive a free place at the Gala Evening (2 free places for any ‘group’ awards), however you still must book the complimentary places.

What happens if I am not successful?

All finalists will be notified via email by 18 September 2021.  If you have not been contacted by this time, unfortunately your nomination has not been successful this year.  Due to the high volume of entries we receive we are unable to contact each nominee individually with feedback.

For the second year we will not be asking finalists to come to London for judging day.  A panel of judges will be chosen (2 per category) and will go through the finalists entries.  The judges will consist of a mixture of experts in their field, professionals working within the sector and sponsor representatives.  Finalists will also be asked to send in a pre-recorded video and answer 3 questions from the judges who will then choose the winner after considering both the written submission and the video.  Information of what is required for the video answers will be sent out to all finalists at the time they are notified that they are a finalist.

How many people can interview for each award?

For each ‘single’ award there can only be 1 finalist on the video answering the questions.  For each ‘group’ award there can be a maximum of 2 finalists on the video answering the questions.

    Chef Judging Day

The chef finalists will be asked to attend the cook-off at Milton Keynes cookery school and will need to cook their ‘cook-off’ menu whilst being filmed by the AV team and asked questions by the judges who will then taste and judge their menu.  All chef finalists must attend the judging day and cook their menu – any finalist that cannot attend unfortunately forfeits their place and another finalist will be chosen in their place.  As organisers, we will work in close collaboration with the Milton Keynes Cookery School to ensure the judging day takes place in the safest possible environment and follows best practice in relation to Covid-19.
