NCF launches consultancy service
June 11, 2019
A new service for care providers was launched by the National Care Forum (NCF), a representative body for not-for-profit operators, at its annual conference in June.
Led by a team of experienced consultants, NCF Consult will provide a wide range of support, from preparing for inspections to coaching and mentoring, reviewing actions and action plans and updating policies and procedures.
NCF Consult also supports all types of organisational transformation including working with organisations as they move towards digital and technology enabled care.
A pilot group of NCF members say they have already benefited from the new service and initial feedback has been very positive about the quality of the expertise and guidance they have received:
“I am pleased to recommend the service we contracted through NCF,” said one group member.
“It was a quick and efficient process and delivered very positive benefits to the service. There was the opportunity to have any issues pointed out and addressed in a ‘friendly’ environment.
“The NCF consultants came into one of our registered care homes, and spent the day at the service,” another reported.
“They were very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. We already had an action plan in place around compliance and improvement, and the NCF provided us with ‘fresh eyes’, giving us the opportunity to identify the areas we needed more specific focus on.”
NCF executive director Vic Rayner said the organisation had listened to its membership and recognised that sometimes they needed tailored, organisation-focused support.
“In response to that need, we have developed NCF Consult, enabling us to provide targeted consultancy when and where it is needed most,” said Ms Raynor.
“As we expand this service, we anticipate that it will support members across the not-for-profit care to sector to grow from strength to strength.”
