Regard merges with CMG
July 10, 2019
The Regard Group and Care Management Group (CMG), which are both owned by Australia-based investment manager AMP Capital, have merged.
AMP bought CMG in December following its acquisition of Regard in December 2017 – its first investment in the UK social care sector.
Formed in 1994, Regard provides supported living and residential services for people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and acquired brain injury, and as of March 2018 it was offering 162 services.
Founded in 1996, CMG provides more than 180 services for people with learning difficulties and associated complex needs, including supported living services, outreach and home support, respite care and day care services.
Earlier this year, Carole Edmond stepped down as chief executive of Regard. Both organisations are now being led by chief executive Peter Kinsey.
